Stair LED Light - 10mm with Bezel

Single 10mm LED light for use with the Stair Light Controller. This unit comes ready to install. It is prepped with a 7 inch wire lead and includes two wire connectors. The black plastic light bezel provides a nice flush mount look on any surface. Note that the quarter is only shown as a size indication. When off the LED lens is clear, the plastic bezel only comes in black but is easily painted to match any decor you may have. We recommend using Krylon plastic spray paint if you want a color other than black.

Installation is easy, simply drill a 9/16 inch hole in the stair at the desired location, pop this unit in and connect it to a wire running to the stair lighting controller. You will need to purchase one LED light for each step you want to light.

This light will work with any 5 volt system and draws 20mA of current.

We understand that this stair lighting option might not fit all applications, if it doesn't you might want to have a look at the Reactive Lighting Stair Lighting Systems which have more lighting options available.

Here are a few pictures of the light

The lower pictures show the stair light installed in a piece of 1/2 inch wood to demonstrate what the bezel looks like when mounted.

LM35 DZ Temperature Sensor

This temperature sensor can be used to measure temperature directly in centigrade. It can be plugged directly into a breadboard or mounted to a perf board easily because of the TO-92 package.

Have a look at the LM35 DZ Data Sheet (PDF) for more information.

If you are looking for a project example have a look at this PWM Fan Controller project that demonstrates how the sensor works.

The LM35 series are precision integrated-circuit temperature sensors, whose output voltage is linearly proportional to the Celsius (Centigrade) temperature. The LM35 thus has an advantage over linear temperature sensors calibrated in ° Kelvin, as the user is not required to subtract a large constant voltage from its output to obtain convenient Centigrade scaling. The LM35 does not require any external calibration or trimming to provide typical accuracies of ±1/4°C at room temperature and ±3/4°C over a full -55 to +150°C temperature range. Low cost is assured by trimming and calibration at the wafer level. The LM35’s low output impedance, linear output, and precise inherent calibration make interfacing to readout or control circuitry especially easy. It can be used with single power supplies, or with plus and minus supplies. As it draws only 60 µA from its supply, it has very low self-heating, less than 0.1°C in still air. The LM35 is rated to operate over a -55° to +150°C temperature range, while the LM35C is rated for a -40° to +110°C range (-10° with improved accuracy).

PIC chip programmed with the code for the Multimeter Clock Controller. This is a microcontroller that has an onboard processor, memory, I/O control and program space. This chip is the heart of the Multimeter Clock project. If you do not have a method of programming the custom code to a PIC chip this is a great option to building this project without having to purchase a PIC programmer. This is the same PIC chip that is included in the Multimeter Clock Controller Kit.

Multimeter Clock Controller Kit

The Multimeter Clock consists of three multimeters, the first meter displays hours, the second displays minutes and the last displays seconds. A 16F628A PIC microcontroller keeps track of time and outputs a calculated current to each meter to display the current time. The meter shown above is one example of what you could make to show off your Multimeter Clock. Please note that the kit does not include the clock housing or the meters.

PIC chip programmed with the code for the PWM Fan Controller. This is a microcontroller that has an onboard processor, memory, I/O control and program space. This chip is the heart of the PWM Fan Controller project. If you do not have a method of programming the custom code to a PIC chip this is a great option to building this project without having to purchase a PIC programmer.

The IR Jammer is a fun project that provides a bit of safe, non-destructive fun. The Infrared Remote Control Jammer allows you to render all IR remote controls inoperative! The microcontroller in this design allows for all 6 of the main IR frequencies to be targeted making this unit universal. It works by corrupting the data that is being sent by your normal remote controls.

This kit comes with everything shown here. These parts will need to be soldered onto the board before use.

Kit assembly instructions can be found here.

If you prefer reading a printed manual have a look at the manual here (pdf).

The microcontroller in this design allows for all 6 of the main IR frequencies to be targeted making this unit universal. It works by corrupting the data that is being sent by your normal remote controls.

If you would like to build the entire IR Jammer yourself but just need the printed circuit board this is what you need. For a full kit with all of the needed electronics have a look at the Full IR Jammer Kit here.

Kit assembly instructions can be found here.

If you prefer reading a printed manual have a look at the manual here (pdf).
